January 2-3-4, 2009 - Collinsville, Illinois - Gateway Center 16th Year will again feature a tremendous selection of tackle; reps from resorts, charter and guide services; vendors for boat and fishing accessories and services; other boat and fishing products. Admission prices: $7.00 for adults; Ages 6-15 $3.00; Children age 5 and under admitted free. On Friday, seniors age 60 and above will be admitted for only $4. Parking is FREE each day of the show.

Hours: Friday Noon to 9 PM / Saturday 9 AM - 7 PM / Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. The Gateway Convention Center is located 12 minutes from downtown St. Louis, on Highway 157, just north of I-55/70, in Collinsville, Illinois. Building phone number is 618-345-8998.

This IS the Show for fishermen!!!
The Let's Go Fishing Show consistently attracts an enthusiastic audience due to its dedication solely to fishing and the quality of vendors that come to sell their products.

Visitors to the show not only find a "fishing tackle super-store" but attend seminars and see exhibits of interest. On sale are a wide variety of fishing tackle, rods and reels and aluminum and fiberglass fishing boats. You will also find accessories such as trolling motors, depth finders and other fishing related products and services. And, there are representatives from resorts and destinations eager to help you plan a fishing trip to a nearby lake, Ozark retreat, charter fishing trip, or a Canadian adventure.

Boat dealers represented at the 2008 show were: Belleville Sports Sales, Belleville, IL; Bob's Marine, Hillsboro, IL; Clark Boat & Motor, East Alton, IL; Cope Marine, O'Fallon, IL; Nameoki Marine, Granite City, IL; Muddy Waters Marine, New Athens, IL.

One of the attractions each year at the show is the large display of antique fishing lures and equipment. These items on exhibit from members of the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club are not only interesting to view, but club members are on hand to offer comments on the history and value of these relics.

Returning in 2009 will be a display of snakes and amphibians from the St. Louis Herpetological Society. Children and adults will be permitted to interact with the reptilian visitors under the supervision of the Society members.

There will be more than two-dozen seminars over the three-day event giving tips to fisherman interested in hooking bass, crappie, catfish, walleye and other species.

The show features two seminar rooms - The Mississippian Room has about 200 seats and features Bass & Crappie speakers; The Marquette Room will have seating for around 100 and feature a variety of species, including Catfish, Walleye and Muskie.

All of the seminars and attractions are FREE with paid admission.
